Terms of Service

1. What HORIZON Shop Tracker is

HORIZON Shop Tracker is a point of sale, inventory, expense, credit and mobile money booth management platform for businesses in Zambia. It includes multi-branch support, SMS-verified mobile money booth ledgers, receipts and offline operation. It is provided on a subscription basis.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration details.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and staff PINs confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account and the accounts of staff you create.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Free trial, plans & payment

• New accounts start with a free trial. After it ends, you need a paid plan to keep using the service.
• Plans differ by price and by limits such as the number of branches and users. You agree to stay within the limits of your plan.
• Payments are made in Zambian Kwacha through our payment gateway (Lipila), by mobile money or card.
• There is no automatic card charging. We do not keep your card on file. You renew each period yourself, and we send you a reminder before your plan ends.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change plan prices or features. We will give you reasonable notice of changes that affect you.

4. Your data and content

Your business data belongs to you. You grant us the permission needed to host and process it so we can provide the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having the right to store any information about your customers, debtors and staff. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

5. Mobile money booth ledger

The mobile money booth feature builds a ledger from the SMS alerts your booth SIM receives, to help you keep records and deter float and cash theft. It depends on your mobile network actually delivering those messages, and it is a record-keeping tool — not an official statement from Airtel, MTN or Zamtel. HORIZON Shop Tracker is not a bank or a financial institution, does not hold or move your money, and its figures should be reconciled against your operator's official records.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use HORIZON Shop Tracker for anything unlawful, or to facilitate fraud or money laundering.
• Attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
• Resell or sublicense the service without our written permission.

7. Availability

We work to keep HORIZON Shop Tracker available and reliable, including an offline mode for when the network drops. Even so, the service is provided "as is". We may occasionally need to perform maintenance or updates, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, HORIZON Shop Tracker and Edutrack Computer Training College are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

9. Suspension & cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time; it will run until the end of your paid period. We may suspend or close accounts that do not pay or that breach these Terms. If your account closes, you can ask for an export of your data within a reasonable period before it is removed.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you through the service or by email. Continuing to use HORIZON Shop Tracker after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Zambia, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Zambian courts.
