Privacy Policy

1. Information we collect

• Account & business details: your name, email, phone number, business name, branches and staff user accounts you create.
• Operational data you enter: sales, inventory and stock, expenses, debtors and credit customers, suppliers and purchase orders.
• Mobile money booth data: if you use the booth feature, the SMS transaction alerts forwarded from your booth SIM (from Airtel, MTN or Zamtel) so we can build your float and cash ledger, plus basic details of the device running the booth app.
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed by our gateway (Lipila). For card payments you enter your card on the gateway's secure page — we never see or store your full card number.
• Technical & usage data: log data, IP address, device and browser information, and how you interact with the service.

2. How we use your information

• Provide, operate and maintain the service for you and your branches.
• Reconcile your mobile money booth ledger and flag float or cash gaps that may indicate theft.
• Process your subscription payments and manage your plan.
• Send you service messages, receipts and, where you enable them, email notifications.
• Provide support and improve the product.
• Meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

3. Data about your customers and staff

When you record a debtor, customer or employee in HORIZON Shop Tracker, you are responsible for that information and for having a lawful reason to store it. We process it only on your behalf, to provide the service to you.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run HORIZON Shop Tracker, and only as far as they need to do their job:

• Our payment gateway, to process subscription payments.
• Our hosting provider, to run the servers.
• Email providers, to deliver notifications.

We may also disclose information where required by law or a valid order from a Zambian authority.

5. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), role-based access controls, PIN-protected sensitive actions, and an append-only mobile money ledger that cannot be silently edited. No system is ever completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to limit access to it.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as your account is active, and for as long afterwards as we need to for legal, tax or accounting reasons. You can ask us to delete your data, subject to those obligations.

7. Your rights

Subject to Zambian law, you may ask us to:

• Access and receive a copy of your data.
• Correct information that is wrong.
• Delete your data.
• Export your data so you can move it elsewhere.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.

8. Children

HORIZON Shop Tracker is a business tool intended for people aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know through the service.
