Selling

A Till That Keeps Up With a Busy Counter

Point the camera at a barcode and the item is in the cart. No barcode? Start typing the name and it's there in two taps. Your best sellers sit on a quick-access row so the queue keeps moving.

  • Take cash, mobile money, card, bank transfer or on-the-book credit. You choose which ones each branch accepts.
  • Split payments: half cash, half MoMo? No problem.
  • Discounts need a manager's PIN, so "I gave him a discount" always has a name attached.
  • Restaurants sell dishes with recipes behind them, so every plate knows its ingredient cost.
  • Returns are processed against the original sale, and the stock walks itself back in.

Stock

Shelves That Report to You

Every sale takes stock out, every delivery puts stock in, and the system keeps score. You stop discovering empty shelves from a customer's face.

  • Low-stock warnings and suggestions for what to reorder, before it's urgent.
  • Expiry dates tracked per batch, and the oldest stock sells first. Butchers and pharmacies live on this.
  • Physical stock counts: count the shelf, and the difference against the book is recorded with a full history.
  • Purchase orders with supplier price history, so creeping prices get noticed.
  • Bulk price tiers for wholesalers: one price for madam buying two, another for the marketeer buying a box.

Money & Debts

Every Kwacha Has a Story

Sales on one side, expenses on the other, and what's left is the truth about your business. Plus the two lists every Zambian business lives with: who owes you, and who you owe.

  • Expenses in seconds: rent, salaries, transport, ZESCO. Categorised so month-end makes sense.
  • Customers on credit: each one listed with the amount, the date and their payments. Due dates and limits included.
  • Supplier invoices and what's still outstanding on your side.
  • Cash drawers and shifts, so each till session opens and closes with a number someone signed for.

MoMo Booths

The Booth Watches Itself

Airtel Money, MTN MoMo and Zamtel Kwacha booths get their own record book that nobody can rewrite. The booth phone forwards every money message automatically, and the numbers must always add up.

  • Float and physical cash tracked side by side, per network.
  • Float-gap alerts with the exact missing amount when receipts and balance disagree.
  • Cash handovers confirmed with the teller's PIN. End-of-shift counts with the variance locked in.
  • Commission estimated per transaction, and month-end reports per booth and per teller.

  • Daily, weekly and monthly views with quick presets.
  • Top products, staff performance, and credit collection lists.
  • Compare branches side by side to see which location needs a visit.

Staff & Security

Trust, With Receipts

Good staff deserve good tools, and everyone works better when the record is the record. HORIZON Shop Tracker is built so honesty is the easy option.

Roles that match your shop

The cashier sees the till. The manager sees the branch. You see everything, across every branch and booth.

An audit trail on everything

Who sold, who edited, who deleted, who discounted, each with a timestamp. Arguments end quickly when the log is right there.

PINs for the sensitive moments

Discounts and cash handovers need a PIN from the right person, entered on the spot.

Deactivate, don't delete

Staff who leave lose access immediately, but everything they recorded stays in the history where it belongs.

Offline & ZRA

Built for Real Zambian Conditions

Load shedding and dead spots are part of doing business here, so they're part of the design, not an afterthought.

  • The till keeps selling with no network. Sales queue on the device and send themselves when the signal returns.
  • Booth phones do the same with money messages: nothing is lost between outages.
  • Receipts print in a ZRA-compliant format on a small thermal printer.
  • Every receipt carries a verification code anyone can check online.
